Graham was brought up in Central Otago leading to seven years as a Police Constable in Dunedin during which time he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration. After developing and acquiring a variety of hotels, subdivision and apartments throughout New Zealand, in 1994 Graham purchased an Auckland retirement village. At the time of purchase the development had 78 units and after his stewardship now comprises 228 units. In 2005, Graham and an associate purchased four villages owned by Primecare NZ. Graham is the longest serving member, and currently President of the Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand.
Graham commenced his career in hospitality in Great Britain, and holds a BA in Hotel and Catering Management, with honours in marketing. Whilst in the hotel industry he became involved in finance and subsequently completed a post graduate diploma in Accounting and became a chartered management accountant. His new career took him to the world of publishing, where Graham worked for HarperCollins Publishers for 18 years both in the UK and NZ, firstly as Financial Controller, and then as General Manager. Graham has resided in NZ with his kiwi wife and two children since 2002 and has personal experience within the sector. His hospitality background provides him with strong people and customer service skills, and he is excited to be part of such a vibrant community.
Bev has been involved in sales for the last 29 years including experience in the real estate and retirement village industries. Bev joined the Ranfurly Village team because of all the wonderful benefits the village lifestyle and community has to offer. She looks forward to assisting people with such an important decision. She takes delight in witnessing retirees living the retirement leisure dream in a perfect attractive hassle free location. She is described as someone who listens and answers all questions so every customer has 100% certainty regarding their retirement in such a beautiful community village.
